Genoa Candidates Running for 2024 Trustees

Bill Reiber

Genoa Twp. Resident Bill Reiber announced he has filed as a Republican candidate for Genoa Twp. Trustee position.

Reiber, a self-described “ideas guy” who thinks outside the box, has lived in Genoa Twp. for the past 21 years. He says his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Tech University, along with a 30-year career as a manufacturing engineer and program manager, provide him with an exceptional ability to visualize projects from conception to completion.

“I have an open mind, critical thinking skills, and employ fairness, logic and reasoning to make decisions,” he said. “I am a fiscal conservative with a heart for volunteering and community enrichment.”

Reiber, 55, lives with his wife of 25 years, Michelle. The couple have two adult children and are expecting their first grandchild in August.

Reiber says preserving the blessings of living in a wonderful combination of rural and suburban community for his grandchildren is his chief motivation for running for office.

“Maintaining a balance of commercial and residential properties is vital to preserving a community’s prosperity,” he said. “If elected, I pledge to work to obtain the balance the residents are – rightly – demanding of their elected officials. I will be a good steward of Township resources and work with residents to achieve common goals.”
